Takaful International & Tas’heelat Insurance Launch the First Insurance Product dedicated to females

Marking the International Women Day and as a part of the strategic partnership between Takaful International and Tas’heelat Insurance, a joint insurance product dedicated to females "Heya" meaning “She” was announced On 17^th march 2008. This product will cover chronic diseases pertaining only to women in addition to personal accidents, various medical examinations provided by preferred hospitals and Second Medical Opinion provided by specialists from the United States.

On his part, Mr. Jamal Younis, CEO Takaful International, confirmed the company’s commitment towards introducing innovative products that cater to customer needs and keep abreast with the modern advancements. He pointed out that this product reflects Takaful International's interest in providing special insurance solutions for women, which comes as recognition of their effective role in bringing up generations and enhancement of their leading community status in various aspects.

Mr. Ali Al Daylami, General Manager Tas’heelat Insurance points out the product's unique benefits to protect women's health including periodic examinations and providing cover for women’s critical diseases including treatment in case of illness.

He added “Tas’heelat Insurance is committed towards introduction of ground breaking products in cooperation with business partners in Takaful International to provide world-class insurance services in line with the latest developments and confirmed that the product is launched in recognition of women's role on the occasion of the International Women Day. This strategy is not new but dates back for several years and an outcome of continuous efforts to provide new pioneering products to be announced on due time”.

Mrs. Reema Nowrooz, Assistant Manager Family Takaful and Health care Department at Takaful International, said: "The insurance policy will contain four main schemes, namely: critical illnesses treatment such as breast cancer and others, personal accident coverage scheme, annual medical checkup scheme including: Mammography, Pap Smear Test & Gynecologist Report and DEXA Osteoporosis. It is worth to mention that this product includes providing more than one independent medical opinions in case of diagnosing a critical illness by experienced world specialists to make sure that the proper diagnosis and best treatment are received”.
